Discover Ankara, Türkiye's vibrant capital since 1923. Highlights include the Mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk (Anıtkabir), one of the country's most important national monuments, followed by a visit to the outstanding Museum of Anatolian Civilizations, home to priceless Hittite and Anatolian treasures.

Drive to Bogazkale to explore Hattusa, the UNESCO-listed capital of the Hittite Empire. Visit the impressive city walls, monumental gates and temples before continuing to the famous rock sanctuary of  Yazılıkaya. Afterwards continue to Cappadocia for five overnight stays.

Explore the Göreme Open Air Museum with its remarkable rock-cut churches and Byzantine frescoes. Continue to Ortahisar and Uchisar, crowned by its impressive natural rock fortress. End the day with magnificent views across the beautiful Pigeon Valley.

Visit a traditional carpet weaving centre to learn about one of Türkiye's oldest handicrafts. Continue to the abandoned cave settlement of Zelve, the extraordinary fairy chimneys of Monks Valley, the colourful Red Valley and the historic cave village of Cavusin.

Visit the beautifully preserved Church of St. John in Gülsehir, famous for its medieval frescoes. Afterwards explore the Seljuk caravanserai Sari Han before discovering Kültepe (ancient Kanesh), one of Anatolia's earliest international trading centres.

Enjoy a pleasant walk through the lush Ihlara Valley along the Melendiz River, passing vineyards, poplar trees and rock-cut churches. Later visit one of Cappadocia's famous underground cities, where early Christian communities once found shelter.
